I ordered a book from waterstones with lots of blueprints, old photo's and images as well as information which I thought would have helped my project. So I was ment to pick it up today from waterstones and when I got there they did not have it, so
I said
"well I ordered it and was told you would be able to get it"
Employee says
"well I'm sorry we are unable to get it"
I said
"I need it as part of a uni project"
Employee says
"all I can say is sorry again"
I said
"why are you unable to get it"
Employee says
"it is out of print"
I said
"why advertise the book then"
Employee says
"it just hasn't been taken off the website yet"
I said
"fine and bye"(and walked out before I said something rude)
So I won't be buying it now eventhough I wanted the book to keep as I find history interesting as WhSmiths don't sell it and Amazon.co.uk sells it but for a considerable higher price of £180. So I guess I will now just get it from a library although I might not need it due to my research gathered from my trips. So maybe i was not ment to get the book (in terms of fate) as it will not give me any research I don't already have.
oh dear - go support your local library!
